SO YOU WANNA SKIP VF101?

I hear you. You've been at this a long time. You've already got a solid foundation in anatomy, function, habilitation, and pedagogy.

You just need someone to help make sense of this contemporary registration thing.

And not in a "how do the muscles work" kind of way (although we do that, too), but in a " how do we help our clients really develop and solidify the effective use of it "  kind of way.

Like really, from baby belter to full-fledged, belt - your - face - off careers.

GREAT NEWS:

This fall only, we've opened up direct registration to MMB so you can hop right into the goods ya need without having to spend the time (and over $1700) on Level 1.

yep. for real.

All the perks of MMB, but

ACCELERATED

WHAT IS IT?

This is our Level 2 teacher training course focused on helping teachers develop and refine a reliable system for teaching singers faced with the registration demands in the most popular styles of today, just faster (and on your own time).

WHEN IS IT?

"MMB Week" is November 17th - 24th. You'll complete the 4 Modules across that one week.

Each module has 2 components:

  • One asynchronous lecture

  • One asynchronous application call

BONUS: One live Q&A with Maddie on the final day (Nov 24th @ 2ET) held via Zoom.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

On Nov 17th you'll gain access to our MMB library and be provided with a suggested viewing/study schedule for the week.

You can choose to follow along with said schedule, or take it at your own pace (you’ll just want to be sure you’ve completed all the modules should you want to attend the Q&A at the end of the week).

PRETTY COOL, HUH?

What else?

Facetune_20-08-2024-17-58-14.HEIC

Time committment?

Each anatomy/function lecture is between 15 and 20 minutes long.

Each application call is 1hr long.

The live Q&A via Zoom will be 1 hr long.

The amount of time you spend reviewing the material is up to you!

What if I can't make the live Q&A?

Every aspect of this course is recorded and placed into our library for you to review at any point during the week, so even if you, YES, YOU, can't attend live, you still get all the juicy goods.

Do I still get certified?

While you won't have the full certification in our Evidence-Based Voicework Pedagogy Program, you will receive a certificate of completion to add to your list of fabulous credentials.

What are the modules?

Each module focuses on a different component of building and balancing registration. One phase at a time, baby.

1. Coordination/Stabilization

2. Strength/Stamina

3. Flexibility/Agility

4. Finesse/Storytelling

I LOVE MM&B!!! Maddie has created a easy-to-understand framework for teaching CCM styles which works WITH the client's skill and stamina development. it's one of those things that seems like such a natural progression that it made me wonder why I didn't intuitively teach mix and belt this way all along. I immediately put the framework into practice and I can already see the difference it makes. My clients are able to hone in on the small skills they need to develop before they level up to the bigger skills.

MMB was a life changing experience. Maddie made sure we understood each lecture before she moved to the next. The zoom meetings were very personable and the emails were a lifesaver AND you could work at your own pace a little. You didn't feel pressured to have it all right away. It was a gradual learning experience that turned on many light bulbs. I had sooooo many things to pop up that kept me from getting on the LIVE zooms, however, the replays made me feel like I was right there in the room with Maddie. She has an infectious gift that makes you want to learn more and keep coming back. So no matter how busy you are, you won't get behind because she equips you with everything you need even if you're late, out of the class or trying to "catch up". You owe it to yourself to make this investment in YOU!

Maddie Tarbox is God's gift to contemporary voice teachers today. She has broken down complicated scientific concepts into simple and easily understandable and immediately applicable lessons. I learned more from her summer course than I did from my entire undergrad and graduate studies about teaching. Truly, the most useful vocal pedagogy course I have taken. I’m coming away with a better understanding of how the vocal instrument works and how to approach teaching along with many very practical exercises that I was able to start applying immediately. Highly recommend this course to any teacher wanting to improve their teaching.

I'm so glad I signed up for this course after hearing from my colleague about it. I've been looking to add more diversification to my own preferences as a singer and bring that broadened horizon into my teaching in order to continue to embrace my students and singers I hear with more empathy and possibility. I trust my ear and my ability to connect and communicate with others, but have never truly found comfort with the more science and anatomically-based pedagogical approaches and am curiously and enthusiastically working towards that improving that side of my teaching and actually enjoying it. I think the videos especially of the asynchronous lectures were particularly not only beautiful to look at and well designed, but concise and clear with a pedagogical tone of welcome and encouragement without any bit of "talking down to". I also really like that you would periodically reiterate that your course(s) lean into the ccm style. I am very grateful to you Maddie for making the science palatable and fun, and thank you for the warmth you bring to a field that can be steeped with negative attitudes and misplaced trauma (hah!).

I have done so many voice teacher continuing ed courses, and this was the first one that addressed the hole's and gaps I was experiencing both in my education and teacher training. I am always nervous to take courses as I struggle with perfectionism and the idea of not getting 100% can be fairly paralyzing, but I tried to remind myself that I am here to LEARN and GROW, and Maddie created such a safe space for that. The lecture on flexibility in MMB was what dreams are made of, as I had been searching for this EXACT information to post on my teaching wall to keep reminding me and help guide me on exercises and what vowels work in each specific range. Take this course! You won't regret it.

LINDSAY PRINGLE - Professor of Voice and Acting - Pace University  -  BFA MT - Carnegie Mellon University

MMB was truly incredible. Maddie has made it so easily accessible. I was able to complete and be a part of this robust course even as I made my way through a hectic teaching season. The way Maddie explains the material is relatable and always done in a way that made me feel like I was growing, never in a way that made me feel dumb or 'less than' which I feel like can easily happen when studying voice science. I was genuinely excited to watch each module and application call and feel so much more equipped to handle registration challenges with all of my students. 10000/10 would recommend!
